Our Story

Distinct Property Management was established with a simple goal: to deliver a higher standard of service, transparency, and accountability within the real estate industry.

Unfortunately, not a single Property Manager could satisfactorily answer the following questions:

1. How will we know if our tenants are happy with the service they are receiving from your agency?
2. How will we know if the maintenance our tenants report is being passed on to us in a timely manner?
3. How can we find out (without calling your office) where our rent is paid up to and what bills you have paid for us?

The business was created after identifying a clear gap in the property management market. Many landlords were seeking better communication, clearer reporting, and greater confidence that their investment properties were being managed professionally and proactively. That insight led to the formation of Distinct Property Management, which officially launched in 2012.

Today, Distinct supports property investors, landlords, tenants and sellers across the Canberra and Queanbeyan regions.

Under the leadership of Director and Licensee in Charge Brooke, the business has continued to evolve and expand while maintaining the values it was built on: honest advice, clear communication, and a proactive approach to property management and sales.

Distinct Properties is the most technologically advanced property management agency in Canberra. We build our own AI agents and software that work alongside PropertyMe, from rental appraisals to rent receipting, and owners can log in to PropertyMe at any time to see their rent statements. We are also the most efficient: most of our property managers run 100 properties at most, well below the industry standard, and it produces better performance.
